Welcome Finn Harrison, Video Intern
The AdShark crew keeps growing! Finn Harrison recently joined the Creative team as a Video Intern. Finn currently attends Minnesota State University Moorhead (Go Dragons!) and will receive his bachelor in Film Production and minor in Creative Writing in May.
As a Video Intern, Finn is working on developing our in-house video capabilities and helping the creative team create ads for our clients.
Here are some questions we asked Finn to get to know him.
Tell Us About Your Family
I have a younger sister who gets way too excited about beating me at any game, and a fairly large, extended family that is scattered across the upper-midwest that I’m very grateful I get to see as often as I do.
If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
If I could meet one person, it would have to be the 26th President of the United States of America, Theodore Roosevelt. Upon his passing, a fellow politician said, “Death had to take him sleeping, for if Roosevelt had been awake there would have been a fight.” So, if he’s coming back from the dead I would really like to be on his good side, if possible.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
Throughout high school, I played guitar in a number of punk bands. Junior year was wild, I had dyed my hair every color from Billy Idol Blonde to Tré Cool Blue and would wear eyeliner whenever we played shows.
What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
DeLorean DMC-12. Ever since I saw Back to the Future I thought that they were just the coolest cars and I totally fell in love with them, everything from the hard angles of the chassis’ lines to the Mustang style fastback and of course Gull-wing doors. They started making them again in 2015 and I would love one of the fancy new electric ones with modern safety features.
iPhone or Android?
iPhone, but I have had my eye on that new Motorola Razr. The reason I haven’t upgraded from my iPhone SE (other than the fact that it still has a headphone jack) is just how portable it is. Half these new phones I feel like I gotta invest in some JNCO Jeans just to fit them in my pockets.
Which cartoon character would you most like to switch lives with?
Assuming I also got his cool ghost powers, I would probably want to switch lives with Danny Phantom. It’s all the fun and relatability of Spider-Man but with less financial hardships and fewer dead relatives.
Would you rather have a hamster-sized elephant or an elephant-sized hamster?
A Hamster-sized elephant, all the way. One, because that would be adorable and two, I can’t imagine how much an elephant-sized hamster would cost to take care of!
I would probably end up single-handedly saving print media with the number of newspapers I would have to buy to line the gigantic cage I would have to keep it in – and don’t get me STARTED on the sound that giant wheel would make.
What’s your favorite type of shark?
I don’t think this is a question I’ve had to answer since the second grade, but as I said then: Hammerhead sharks are the best sharks and I will meet you on the playground at 3:15 pm if you disagree with me to settle this.
What are you most excited about working at AdShark?
Even in just the short amount of time that I’ve been here, AdShark has been one of my favorite places to work. Not only are the people here great, but I’m also really enjoying the work that I’m getting to do. I would say that I’m most looking forward to getting to do more production-based work and start filming our own ads in addition to just editing existing brand footage.
