Meet Meghan Mateuszczyk – Our Newest Shark!
It’s been a Spring season filled with new employees being onboarded and we LOVE it! Our newest member of the team is Meghan Mateuszczyk, an intern on our Digital Marketing team who has already made an impression on our office with her vibrant personality and palpable curiosity. But we’re not surprised. Meghan has been making waves in every setting she’s been a part of! Prior to her time at AdShark, she co-founded The Gold Vial Project (an initiative advocating for affordable insulin pricing) and served as the President for MSUM’s Chapter of DECA.
We’re excited to have Meghan joining the team, but first wanted to give her a chance to introduce herself to our followers through this blog. Read on to learn more about the newest Shark!
You’re officially a SHARK, and we couldn’t be happier to have you join the Tank! Give our readers a brief description of what you’ll be doing for our team.
I’ll be working with the best PPC team to create and manage Facebook and Google Ad accounts for AdShark clients.
You have one sentence to describe yourself… GO!
On the outside, I’m cool, calm, and collected but my heart and mind usually identify as the Energizer Bunny after a tall, iced caramel macchiato.
Cool! Now let’s see what you can tell us with a few more sentences. Tell us a bit more about you.
I was born in Boston – go PATS! I’m the second oldest of four so I’ve learned to take very cold showers. I am soon graduating from MSUM with a Bachelor’s in Advertising + Public Relations and a minor in Media Analytics. I’m also very passionate about advocating for insulin affordability outside of school and work, as I was born with Type 1 diabetes.
What drew you to joining the AdShark team?
In my sophomore year of college, Whitney spoke to my business and marketing club at MSUM regarding her role and experience at AdShark. I was immediately drawn in like a moth to a flame!
What would you most like to accomplish in your first month as a member of our team?
I would like to accomplish the ability to independently navigate client accounts and understand effective conversion data!
You’re hosting a dinner party and can invite three celebrities, living or dead, to join. Who would you choose and why?
I would choose to invite Mac Miller to my dinner party because I grew up listening to his music in my most formative years. I would also invite Tom Brady because I’ve had a hopeless crush on him for as long as I can remember. Lastly, I would probably invite Gordon Ramsey because my guests wouldn’t be around long if I was the one cooking.
Let’s say you can travel to any place in the world, but it’s a one-way ticket and you have to stay for at least three months. Where do you choose to go?!
I’d pack my bags and be out the door to live in Auckland, New Zealand if given the opportunity.
If anyone could write your biography, who would you choose? What would the first sentence of the book be?
If I could have a biography written about me, my sister Jayleigh would be the author. She would write about the triumphs and tribulations we’ve been through together. The first sentence would be a line we remind each other of often:
“The same boiling water that softens a potato, hardens an egg. When push comes to shove, it’s about what you’re made of.”
Congrats! You’ve just won a year’s supply of your choice of food. What do you choose?!
Buffalo wings. Boneless, specifically.
What’s your favorite family tradition?
My favorite family tradition is eating breakfast for dinner on Christmas Eve. Don’t ask me why we do it. I don’t know either, but I’m not complaining.
What is your favorite season and why?!
My favorite season is Spring because there are still very sunny days but the mosquitoes haven’t come out of hibernation to annihilate the limbs of every Midwesterner.
And, lastly, what’s your favorite type of shark?
The Megalodon! Sometimes my friends call me The Meg. (Along with Megatron, MegaMind, and MegJo).
