Welcome Kate Schaefer–Digital Marketing Strategist!
Though it’s only been a couple of weeks since we last wrote one of these blogs, we’re back again and so excited for you to meet the newest member of the AdShark team!
Though Kate is only a few days into her AdShark journey, her beaming smile, positivity, and contagious personality are already making an impact on the team. In order to get to know her better, we sat down and asked her some of the silliest questions we could come up with. And in natural Kate fashion, she was a good sport and answered all of them!

How would you describe yourself in just a few words?
Happy, Inquisitive and Energetic!
Now in a few more words, tell us all about YOU!
I am from Melrose, Minnesota (popularly known for its “WE DO COWS” sign on I94). I moved to Fargo in 2020 for college, and graduated in May with my B.S. degree in Advertising and Public Relations. I continued working in Fargo because of the endless iced coffee options AND the people are unmatched.
If you could choose one song to play every time you walked into a room, what would you choose?
Ooo! Either Vienna by Billy Joel or Dancing Queen by ABBA.
What do you hope to accomplish in your first 90 days at AdShark?
Be a proverbial sponge and soak up as much as I can.
What’s your favorite family tradition? Why?
On Christmas Eve, my family and I make grasshoppers (ice cream blended with crème de menthe) and watch It’s A Wonderful Life. I LOVE ringing in the holidays with my parents!
We hear you have a ton of social media experience! What’s your favorite brand on socials and why?
Big Minnesotan UFFDA here . . . such a tough question! I’m obsessed with any brand that can play a moment and twist a trend to work for their business. It adds a pop of fun while still feeling authentic 🙂
If Kate was a brand, what would the slogan be?

You end up on an abandoned island that somehow has access to play 3 of your favorite podcasts. Which podcasts will you play on loop?!
My favorite question. Morning Brew Daily, Crime Junkie and On Purpose with Jay Shetty are already on my Spotify loop, haha!
And, finally, what’s your favorite type of shark?
Tiger Shark!
