Fireworks in the sky, burgers on the grill, and gathering around for another fire blog… yep, it’s July!
Welcome back to another #SharkSwim recap, where we go over last month’s birthdays, anniversaries, achievements, events, and much more!
Birthdays + Anniversaries!
We celebrated 3 birthdays this month! Starting us off early in the month, we celebrated Digital Creative Designer Christina Knutson’s birthday. Christina brings her incredible photography, design, illustration, and social media content skills to our team and we’re pretty lucky to have her! On the same day, we celebrated CEO Rick Berg’s birthday. Rick does quite a bit to keep AdShark running smoothly and we appreciate the heck out of him! Capping off the month, we celebrated Digital Marketing Strategist Evan Engler’s birthday. With Evan being a former California resident, it was only fitting to celebrate him on the hottest days of the year!

This past month, we also celebrated the 4-year anniversary of Digital Marketing Strategist Aubrey Hovland working at AdShark. Aside from her sparkling personality and abundance of Family Guy references, Aubrey continues to raise the bar for the quality of service AdShark provides. Thanks for everything you do, Aubrey!
Welcome, Robb!

Do you know that movie reference? Well I know someone who does… Meet our new Video Content Creator, Robb Vedvick! Hailing all the way from Bismarck, ND, Robb spent the first few years of his career working as a news photographer, but once we started looking for a videographer to join our team, we got him to come to the shark side(another great movie reference!). Robb has been an excellent addition to our team and his work speaks for itself – you might even see a glimpse of it in this very blog! Read all about Robb here. Welcome to the team, Robb!
Nick Due Elected to AAF Board of Directors!
What did the shark get on his Marine Biology test? A sea-minus!
Well, this shark got an A+ on his advertising expertise! Our very own Creative Manager Nick Due was recently elected to the American Advertising Federation of North Dakota(AAF-ND) Board of Directors! We’re so excited to see all of the great things Nick does for our community. Congratulations, Nick!
Sharehouse Planting!
Also this past month, the sharks took part in a friendly social media competition with ShareHouse, Inc. For the second year in a row, ShareHouse challenged local businesses to make the best looking planter at one of their six planter locations. I might be biased, but I think we did pretty well!
ShareHouse, Inc. is a local care center that offers treatment and counseling for people struggling with chemical dependency and mental health issues. To learn more about how you can support this terrific organization, we encourage you to visit their website.
Creative Feature: SnailBlast!
This month’s creative feature is a recent ad we made for SnailBlast, a modern solution for traditional mail marketing. With SnailBlast being an innovative solution for making direct mail marketing easy and accessible, we wanted to make an ad that looked as slick as their service! Here’s Creative Manager Nick Due with the breakdown:
“Thanks to the help of our newest shark & videographer, Robb, we were able to pull off a really slick and eye-catching ad for our friends over at SnailBlast. The objective was to communicate the message of sending direct mail postcards from your computer without ever leaving your desk. Thanks to a fancy top-down camera arm and a complex set up of lights, sliders and fishing wires, Robb was able to throw together this impressive video ad.”
