Welcome to the AdShark team, Greta! We’re so happy to have you on the team😊 What caught your eye about us and made you want to work at AdShark?
I was drawn to AdShark because of the way it blends creative thinking with analytical strategy. It seems rare to find a place that values both equally. It felt like the perfect match for how my brain works and it’s exactly the kind of work that energizes me. Also, anytime I would see posts from AdShark on social media, everyone looked like they were having such a good time and it made me want to be a part of the team.
You have one sentence to describe yourself… GO!
I’m someone who finds joy in small things, loves asking questions, and is constantly trying to balance curiosity, creativity, and just keeping my plants alive.
Whoohoo! Now, let’s see what you can tell us with a few more sentences. Tell us a little bit more about you.
I grew up in west-central Minnesota where I spent summers working at my dad’s machine shop and a lot of my free time outside—chasing after stray cats, catching turtles, or just exploring. I’m the second oldest of four girls and a very proud auntie to some pretty wonderful nieces. I eventually made my way to Moorhead to attend MSUM, where I earned my degree in Public Relations. My family is a huge part of my life, and they’ve played a big role in shaping who I am.

These days, I’m endlessly curious and always picking up new interests—one week it’s painting or embroidery, the next it’s true crime, anthropology, or medieval history. I love diving deep into random topics, even if it’s just for fun. With so many creative and intellectual rabbit holes to explore, I’ve found that staying grounded through weightlifting or yoga really helps me stay focused. I’m also currently working toward a Master’s in Marketing Data & Analytics, which has been the perfect way to combine my love of strategy and storytelling.

As a Digital Strategist, you’ll be building relationships with clients, strategizing new campaigns for them, and helping them grow their business. What excites you the most about your new role?
What excites me most about this role is the chance to really get to know clients, understand their goals, and help them grow in smart, meaningful ways. I enjoy digging into data, finding patterns, and turning insights into ideas that actually work. I’m especially looking forward to the mix of creative thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration that comes with this kind of work.
If you could travel back in time and give 16-year-old Greta any piece of advice, what would it be?
I’d tell her to take a breath. There’s no deadline for figuring everything out. You don’t need a perfect plan, and you don’t have to justify every interest by turning it into a future career. You’re allowed to love things just because you love them. I’d also thank her for making sure we went to that One Direction concert at 13, because boy bands don’t last forever, and she knew that.
What’s your favorite season? And what’s your favorite activity during that season?
Winter might be my favorite season because it has Christmas, New Year’s, my birthday, and Valentine’s Day kind of hanging on at the end. I like the slower pace , all the family time and the coziness of that time of year. My ideal winter day is staying in, drinking hot chocolate, napping and doing something lowkey like baking or working on a creative project. Give me snow, string lights, and a creative outlet, and I’m happy.

What’s one tool, platform, or system you can’t live without when you’re organizing projects or coordinating work?
I love a good spreadsheet with conditional formatting to help organize my thoughts and visualize what most needs my attention. I’m also a big fan of an old-school pen and paper to-do list, so I can physically cross things off and get that real sense of completion.
If you could receive a gift card to any 3 stores in the world, which stores would you choose and why?
- Etsy, because I love supporting small creators and discovering handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces—whether it’s art, jewelry, or random home decor I never knew I needed.
- Urban Outfitters, mainly for their home section. Their use of color and pattern always feels bold and fun, and I love mixing pieces that feel a little offbeat or unexpected.
- Michaels, because I fully embrace my inner hobby-hopper and there’s nothing better than getting lost in the possibilities of a new project.
What would you most like to accomplish within your first month as a shark?
My goal for the first month is to soak everything in, learn the tools, the processes, the people, and the vibe. I want to start developing a clear understanding of how our clients operate and what success looks like for them. I’m excited to start contributing, asking good questions, and finding little ways to add value while I get my bearings. I’m not afraid of a learning curve, I just want to lean in and keep growing
You open a brand-new coffee shop: what would your signature drink be?
For sure a pumpkin spice chai latte. It tastes like pumpkin pie in a cup and I would drink it year round.
And last but not least, what’s your favorite type of shark?
Cookie cutter shark, hands down. When I first heard about it as a kid, I thought it was some kind of mythical sea monster, those little donut bites looked fake. Still one of the weirdest/freakiest and coolest sharks out there.
We’re so excited to have Greta on the AdShark crew! If you’d like to get to know Greta more, feel free to send her a warm welcome or congratulatory email at greta@adshark.com. Thanks for reading, and be sure to keep an eye out for more team updates!
