Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AdShark Marketing, LLC (“AdShark,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use adshark.com, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the ways you contact us through it. It does not cover the websites of our clients, or the advertising we run for them, which are governed by their own policies.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you request a proposal, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter, apply for a job, or sign up for our services, you choose what to share. Depending on the form, that may include your name, email address, phone number, company, the services you are interested in, a budget range, a message, and, for job applicants, a résumé and supporting documents.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and the services described below collect standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you reached the site, the links you click, and when you visited. This is collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.

How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry or proposal request, and to provide the services you ask for.
  • To send you our newsletter or other marketing emails, if you have subscribed or done business with us. Every one includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To consider your job application.
  • To understand how the site is used and to improve it.
  • To measure our own advertising and to show ads for AdShark to people who have visited the site.
  • To protect the site and our business, and to meet legal obligations.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Like most business websites, this one uses tools from third parties that set cookies or use pixels. They fall into three groups.

  • Analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, tell us which pages people visit, how they got here and where they run into problems. What we see is aggregated and does not identify you by name.
  • Advertising tools, such as Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), tell us whether our own ads led to a visit or an inquiry, and let us show ads for AdShark to people who have visited this site. These tools share information about your visit with the advertising platform, which may combine it with other information it holds about you under its own privacy policy.
  • Session analytics tools, such as Microsoft Clarity, may record how visitors scroll, click and move through pages, and show us heatmaps. We use this to improve the site, not to identify individual visitors.

You have several ways to limit this. Your browser’s settings let you block or delete cookies; the site will still work, though some features may not. Google, Meta and the other platforms each provide ad-preference settings inside your account with them. The advertising industry runs two opt-out pages that cover most platforms at once: the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance. And you can always email us at info@adshark.com.

This policy covers cookies set through adshark.com only, not cookies set by other sites we link to.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it with:

  • Service providers who help us run the site and our business: hosting, form delivery, email marketing, analytics, advertising platforms, and payment processing. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • Professional advisors such as accountants and lawyers, when needed.
  • A buyer or successor if AdShark, or the part of it that serves you, is sold or merged.
  • Authorities when the law requires it, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or to respond to legal process.

The advertising tools described above share information about your visit with Google and Meta. Under some state laws that counts as “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising, even though no money changes hands. The section below explains how to opt out.

We are based in the United States and store information here. If you use the site from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States.

Your choices and rights

  • Marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us at info@adshark.com.
  • Access, correction and deletion. Email us and we will tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to anything we are required to keep.
  • Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. To opt out of the advertising sharing described above, use the opt-outs listed under “Cookies, analytics and advertising,” or email us and we will honor the request for the information we control.

Depending on where you live, some of these may be legal rights and others are choices we extend to everyone. Either way, the route is the same: email info@adshark.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We may ask for enough detail to confirm the request is yours, and we will not treat you differently for making it.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected: while we are responding to you or working with you, and afterwards for as long as our records, legal or accounting obligations require. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or strip out what identifies you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encryption of data sent to and from this site, and we limit access to the people and providers who need it. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never happen; if one affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

This site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, or knowingly share the personal information of anyone under 16 for advertising. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Other websites

We link to other sites, including our clients’ sites and the advertising platforms above. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.

Changes

When we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change is significant, we will say so at the top of the page for a period after it takes effect.
